Our annual Spring Plant Sales on Salt Spring Island and in Mill Bay on Vancouver Island will take place on Saturday April 28. For information on the plants that are available, see the Plant Lists on this website.

Salt Spring Island: This plant sale is held jointly with the Salt Spring Island Garden Club at the Farmers’ Institute on Rainbow Rd. Doors open at 1:00 p.m. Plants are snapped up quickly, and the sale is usually over by 2:30 p.m.

Mill Bay: The Mill Bay Chapter of Seeds for Malawi will hold its spring sale on Saturday April 28 from 9:00 am to 2:00pm at the home of Elaine Scott, 2836 Oceanside Lane (east off TransCanada Highway at Kilmalu, south on Church Way, east on Welch Road and south on Oceanside Lane). This is a private garden which customers can also tour at their leisure. A large number and wide range of interesting plants will be available for sale and Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer general gardening questions. The plants have been provided by three active gardeners in the area (Barb Kohlman, Sharon Martin, and Elaine Scott) as well as the Salt Spring Island Seeds for Malawi Group. Ali Morris, the fourth member of the Mill Bay Chapter, provides important consultant advice to the group. Should you wish to obtain information on the Mill Bay plant sale, please phone Elaine at 250-743-0965 (Mill Bay).
